Famous scenes of Chushingurareplayed by windup dolls

A new monument has been built at Ikitsugi Hiroba !! Gishi Andon (martyr lamp) is a clock, four-meters in height, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the municipal government, made with windup dolls. On the hour every hour from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm, the doors open along with the theme music of gishi, and the windup dolls replay famous scenes from Chushingura including "the pine corridor", "palanquin", and "cry of triumph". The attraction consists of four scenes that last about three minutes, with narration. On three sides of the clock, copies of ukiyo-e owned by the Ako City Museum of History appear.
