Brewery of Ako's local sake, OtomeandChushingura

Okuto Brewery has been founded in 1601.It is a brewery with history of being a purveyor to the Ako clan in the Edo era.Sakoshi Hon-dori (main street) was part of the route to Sakoshi port that prospered by trade of products including Ako salt. The old and calm atmosphere mainly brought about by sake breweries still remain markedly in the area.
